The Cheltenham Festival

This past month the studio has been busy with fittings as clients start to prepare for the upcoming social and wedding seasons.   One of my favorite aspects of custom millinery is learning about all of the wonderful events and activities that lay ahead for my clients.  One such event being the Cheltenham Festival - four days of world-class racing at Cheltenham Racecourse from March 11th to 14th, 2025.   Something that makes millinery styling special for Cheltenham is that I’m often to be found selecting (from the boutique and virtual store) or creating (for a bespoke commission) a hat to accompany a coat - as opposed to a dress - this is March in England! - The stylishly aware Cheltenham dresser matches her hat to her coat.  Of course, we have a lot of fun, and a lot of choices - trends for my clients this year include rich and luscious charcoals, Bordeaux, leopard and blush toned wools and velvets, wide brims, fedoras and trilbys - we go for weather-aware with full attention to fashion.
