Regulars to the boutique and website will know that we launched RSM EcoLuxe this spring (more on EcoLuxe  in an upcoming newsletter) but, briefly, this is something I have wanted to do for a long time to showcase our longterm love of original vintage embellishments and luxury archival fabrics, as well as sparking conversation about sustainability and traditional millinery skills and techniques.  The RSM Ecoluxe arena has now extended to include a limited edition Hat Hire Service for the 2025 season.

There are many great reasons to hire a hat - maybe you have a series of upcoming events and need a different look for each one, or you might want to enjoy the luxury and high quality of traditionally hand-made, one-of-a-kind millinery but on a lower budget.  Or maybe your focus is the environmental benefits of circular fashion, and hiring rather than buying.  Whatever your reason, when you hire a hat at Rachel Skinner Millinery you will enjoy our signature modern luxury hats and head pieces, and be treated to a custom fitting and styling appointment at out Lewes boutique.

When you make an appointment to hire a Rachel Skinner Millinery, you will be met at the boutique by Rachel herself, or by a trained member of staff, who will show you the collection and give you expert guidance on choosing the right style headpiece for your occasion.

Please bring your outfit and accessories with you to your appointment so that we can match colors, complement details, and balance the style of your look.

Each piece of millinery is hand crafted and unique as we usually only make one of each design. Therefore, you can guarantee that you will have a one-off design for your special day.
