Winter Walks in Lewes

The RSM Team share their favorite winter walks- and where to wear winter hat styles in Lewes.

Grange Gardens:

“Grange gardens were once the private garden of the grange built in 1542 by William Newton   and briefly the home of John Evelyn the diarist. The gardens are a little piece of heaven on earth right in the centre of Lewes town, a lovely peaceful thing to do!”

Antiquing:

“Lewes was once a destination town for antiques. One can still find some of the best British Antique sellers on virtually every street in our small, historic town.”

Lewes Castle:

“One of our favourite places — and sites — in Lewes. Stroll through the ramparts and take in the beauty of this 13th Century Castle.  Lewes Castle is a medieval castle ,originally called Bray Castle, it occupies a commanding position guarding the gap in the South Downs cut by the River Ouse and occupied by the towns of Lewes and Cliffe. It stands on a man-made mount just to the north of the high street in Lewes, and is constructed from local limestone and flint blocks.”
