What colour hat should the mother of the bride or groom wear?
Your hat should coordinate harmoniously with your outfit rather than match it exactly. Complementary tones often create the most elegant result.
Is it traditional for mothers to wear hats at weddings?
Yes. Hats remain a cherished part of British wedding dressing, particularly for mothers of the bride and groom.
Should the mother of the bride and mother of the groom wear similar styles?
Not necessarily. Both should complement the wedding style while reflecting their individual tastes and personalities.
Can I wear my wedding hat again?
Many luxury occasion hats can be restyled for race meetings, formal events and future celebrations.
When should I order my wedding hat?
Ideally once your outfit has been chosen, allowing time for styling, bespoke design and any alterations.
